Description:
Alan Meade is an energetic, seasoned performer with a passion for music. This versatile Low tenor vocalists abilities can be described as soulful, smooth, powerful and controlled. He has conquered such musical styles as R&B, jazz, rock, funk, soul, pop and reggae. His drastic spectrum of vocal influences range from Lenny Kravitz, Anthony Hamilton, Prince, Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, Anthony Kiedis, and D’angelo just to name a few. What sets Alan apart from others is his distinctive voice, coupled with an incredibly dynamic stage presence, and an explosive energy that gives him the ability to capture any crowd.

Alan, a Panama native, moved to Orange County at a very young age where he discovered his strong love for singing and performing at school, church talent shows, family gatherings and local contests. Wherever it was, Alan never passed up any opportunity to perform. At age 15, his passion for music only intensified when he joined a newly formed ska band with school friends named No Doubt. Alan initially played trumpet in the band, but after the tragic suicide of friend and lead singer John Spence, he was called on by his other band mates to accompany Gwen Stefani with vocal duties. Alan’s dream was being realized as No Doubt opened up for their favorite bands such as Fishbone, The Untouchables, and the Red hot chili peppers. At age 18 personal responsibilities forced him to leave No Doubt and the spotlight. Although Alan missed performing, he continued to sing sporadically anytime and anywhere he could.

Currently, Alan is the lead singer for the band Starpool which consists mainly of members of the former group Save Ferris. He is a free agent searching for any opportunity to expose his potential at doing what he loves the most. Alan has practical experience in the recording studio as well as in the music industry, and is more than ready to take his career to the next level.
