Description: Gloria Garcia was born in the beautiful wine region of Rioja, in Northern Spain. She began singing at the young age of five, influenced in her early years by her grandmother who was a well known opera singer.

Over the years Gloria began to get more and more involved in music; first joining a church choir and then later taking guitar lessons, but it wasn't until she graduated in 2000 that she decided to take up the challenge of her life and travel to the UK looking to further her musical opportunities overseas.
Once in England, Gloria ardently began writing and recording songs.

It wasn't long before her striking vocal style started to capture wider attention as she began taking to the stage, performing both on her own, and accompanied by other accomplished musicians from the Berkshire and London area, singing in both English and Spanish.

In 2003, Gloria was selected in the last 75 in Pop Idol Series 3, amongst 23000 other contestants, in the process garnering some rave reviews from judges Simon Cowell and Pete Waterman.

By this time Gloria was also beginning to get some well deserved media attention, culminating in a highly publisiced appearance when she made it to the 10 final contestants in the VH1 Divas London Auditions in 2003.
Gloria also has extensive session-work experience under her belt, having collaborated with renowned producers John Wadlow (Seal’s ex manager), Master Stepz (Choice FM DJ) and Amit Kamboj (Metalhead records – Goldie’s label). She has also fronted numerous bands such as Nu Future, Freedom Republic and the acoustic duo Garcia, performing extensively at well known music festivals and venues such as Jagz in Ascot, The Cellar Bar in Bracknell and West One Four in London.
In her spare time, Gloria also manages community music projects and is a freelance singing teacher for Youth Music, The Arts Council, Thames Valley University and various other schools.
Moving forward to 2006, Gloria has once again revisited her roots and is today most comfortable accompanying herself solo with just her guitar (whom she has affectionately named Eva - "A very beautiful lady" as she describes her).

Gloria can currently be found performing in pubs and choice acoustic venues around the Windsor and London area. She also fronts “Loco”, a jazz-funk covers band with a latin twist. One of her latest side projects is a collaboration with UK music producer “Ferrell Monkei and the Timidz” (visit www.djinuk.com) and singer–songwriter Odette Michell (www.odettemichell.com).

Gloria Garcia is a truly gifted singer and performer with a genuine passion for music. Here is a voice to really listen out for in the future.
