The music of Hollow Water may be just that: an impossible breath of fresh air. With songs ranging from soaring pop to raw, epic Zeppelin-style ballads, Hollow Water consistently leads the listener to un-looked-for satisfaction. "These songs are about catching those moments in our lives that grip us totally, and to save them somehow before they slip away" says Lisa Poushinsky, lead singer/songwriter.

Interpreting that moment's emotion has brought about a novel transference of roles for the members of Hollow Water. Guitar replaces the usual bass backbone, while Adam Fogo's virtuosic upright / electric bass playing and Myriam Legault's rhythmic organ flesh out or leave the song bare accordingly. Weaving together seamlessly with Sandy Donaldson's evocative drumming, Hollow Water's multi-layered arrangements create the perfect support for Lisa's trembling, gut-wrenching voice.

New to the Ottawa scene, it won't take Hollow Water long to make its mark. Soaking its audience in memory and melody, Hollow Water begs the listener to emerge as refreshed as if one's ears have drunk a glass of cool, clear water.
